General Information About Robindell Private School
Robindell Private School has been a family owned and operated business for over 60 years. The philosophy of our center is to provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for your child, as well as being available at a moments notice day or night. We were the first childcare center in Houston to offer 24 hour/7 day a week childcare beginning in 1981, and we feel strongly that we are still the best at providing this service. It has been privately owned and operated by the same family since 1976, and has been primarily operated by the schools lead Director Chuck Wall since 2001.
Over the past 20 years Robindell Private School has grown into the largest single location childcare facility in the state of Texas, and we are very proud of the services we provide our customers. We are open 24 hours 7 days a week, and provide security guards on site each night from sunset to sunrise. Robindell is open all holidays with the exception of Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Our Presence
Robindell is currently spread over 3 locations which can be seen on our campus map:
6610 Alder Dr – This is our main location which provides care for children 6 weeks old to 3 years olds. This building is open 24/7.
5715 Dashwood Dr – This is our afterschool facility caring for school age children. This building is open 24/7.
5801 Dashwood Dr – This is our academic Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade building. We also care for our younger afterschoolers at this location. This building closes at 9pm and remaining students are taken to the afterschool facility next door.
Our Administration
Our administration team is devoted to maintaining a childcare center that will provide the children of Houston with a stimulating and positive learning environment. Mr. Chuck Wall oversees the entire operation of the school and will gladly assist parents with any questions or concerns they may have.
Rita Gutierrez is our Workforce Solutions Manager, and is in charge of all Workforce Solutions accounts. She works with all incoming Workforce or NCI parents who may have questions regarding the status of their care, start or end dates, attendance, or questions regarding their parent fee’s. If you have any questions regarding your account, you can speak to Ms. Rita and she will be happy to assist.
Phyllis Cleary is our Transportation Manager and Summer Field Trip Coordinator. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the drop-off or pick-up services we provide, she is the one to ask. She is also in charge of overseeing all field trips we adventure to during the summer months.
Christine Simmons is Co-director and has been with us for over 18 years serving in multiple areas within our school. She is in charge of all staff and parent concerns. She oversees both our curriculum coordinators who are in charge of classroom activities, and can help you out with any questions.

The caregivers at Robindell are among the most experienced in all of Houston. We understand that a childcare facility can only be as good as their teaching staff. We are proud to have extremely low staff turnover. The majority of our staff have been at Robindell for 8 years or more.
Each caregiver must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification along with a minimum of 20 hours of professional development training each year. Because we are a Designated Center with The Workforce, we are held to a higher standard which requires a percentage of our staff to have obtained their Child Development Associate, Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree. Our staff is encouraged to attend professional training conferences in our community. Our staff is very qualified and highly motivated to provide you the best possible care.
